FedEx Office in Legacy West to Open First

Everyone will want to work here!

FedEx Office is the retail arm of Memphis based FedEx the major overnight and 2nd day business document business service.  FedEx Office was originally KINKO’s but changed their retail name to FedEx Office when they were bought out  in 2004 for $2.4 Billion by FedEx.

FedEx Office corporate offices have been within Three Galleria Tower in Dallas but will soon be moving 1,200 plus employees to their new Legacy West campus at 7900 Legacy Drive.  This will be the first time FedEx Office will have all employees working under one roof to support their 1,800 retail stores.

Legacy West in Plano was chosen by FedEx Office for its new corporate headquarters based on where the company’s employees lived, access to both Dallas area airports and the livability of the city.  The keys to the new building, you see here, will be handed over by KDC to FedEx Office in mid-September.

The campus features a learning center with a retail test store, a fitness center with access to walking trails and an outdoor sports court and an employee cafeteria with a private dining space focused on serving healthy menu options.

The building itself has floor -to-ceiling windows with light interiors further brightened by LED lights and FedEx Office plans to furnish the workstations with low walls and an open floor plan.

FedEx Office will be the first corporate tenant of the $2 billion Legacy West development with Toyota North America and Liberty Mutual Insurance also currently building out their new headquarters and operational hubs also.

What a great time to be in Plano and the surrounding sister cities of Frisco, Carrollton, Lewisville, The Colony, Little Elm, Prosper and North Dallas! The transformation has just begun.
