YUMMY YUM! Yum execs move to Texas

Yum Execs Move to Texas

Texas has a very hot commodity and demand in the form of North Texas better known as PLANO, TX.

YUM Brands is located at 7100 Corporate Dr Plano 75024 just south of Legacy Dr and less than  1/2 mile from JC Penney corporate headquarters @ 6501 Legacy Dr Plano 75024.

YUM Brands constitutes three major restaurant chains that everyone is familiar with including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands.  Home headquarters has always been Louisville, KY since being spun off from PepsiCo in 1997.  And since 1997 YUM Brands has become a truly global company going from approximately 20% of profits coming from outside the U.S. to almost 65% in 2015.

YUM Brands is one of the world’s largest restaurant companies with nearly 43,000 restaurants in more than 130 countries. Ranked #228 on the FORTUNE 500 list with revenues of more than $13 billion and in 2015 was named one of the Aon Hewitt Top Companies for Leaders in North America.

On Feb 25, 2016 YUM Brands announced it is moving some its executive team to its offices in Plano, TX from Louisville, KY.  The executives moving to the Plano office are CEO Greg Creed, CPO Tracy Skeans,  CLO Marc Kesselman, CPFGNO Jonathan Blum, and CFO TBD. The main reason for the move of these executives is YUM’s biggest businesses, KFC Global and Pizza Hut Global are both based in Plano.

Main factors considered in moving these positions to Plano is the importance of face-to-face communications of this group and also with Dallas/Plano and DFW International Airport being in the middle between the east coast and west coast which makes it easier travel particularly to the west coast and around the world.

TAKEAWAY:  Plano with it’s Legacy Business Park, Shops At Legacy, Granite Park, Legacy West and One Legacy West, Texas’ business friendly laws, cost of living, no state income tax, a younger well educated work force  continue to be driving factors that have brought the likes of Toyota, FedEx, Liberty Mutual and newly announced JP Morgan Chase consolidating 8 offices locations and 6000 North Texas employees to be under one roof.

And the nice part of all this is there’s still a lot of room and land within a five mile radius of the DNT/SH121 for more national and international firms to move into the area.
