If you were around when Goodman starting building the town homes, you no doubt remember the frenzy of construction and excitement. The concept was new to Plano and really the first walkable work, live and dining development. That was 2005. Hard to believe it's going on 9 years! Now there are over 300 town homes at the Shops.
The first section of homes were built on Lundsford and the courtyard addresses, Kasko, Scotland, Panethon etc. These properties are the closest to Bishop where the scene started with all the restaurants and shops. As they say, location is everything in real estate and the location is ideal, quiet and very convenient. Properties in the courtyard are very desirable and go quick. Below is a short video clip of the town homes in the courtyard. You'd be very lucky to live here where it all started! We're here to help if your looking for a courtyard home, contact us for availability.

Town homes at Legacy - this year vs last
The town homes at Legacy is a highly desirable development for location and schools. The chart above is market metrics from the MLS and gives you a snap shot of market activity. You can see what sellers are asking for and what buyers are paying.
What's in favor of the sellers right now is the inventory is the lowest I have ever seen - especially units that were built prior to 2007 and are walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Last year there were over 30 homes on the market, this year there are only 6. These units represent a great buying and investment opportunity in West Plano at these prices.
You have to keep in mind that some units are much more upgraded than others so prices will vary based on location and high end finish out. Having been in most of the units you will find many with very custom features that differ from unit to unit.

And that's a good thing! The last time the celebration occurred was 2006, that was the last time city of Plano help funded. Now all that has changed, this year, city of Plano is helping reinstate the festivities with $50K. Chalk that up to the recession, economy or both.
Mark your calendars, it starts this Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2:00 P.M.
If you've been before you know it's a family affair. The event features activities including carolers, face-painting, train rides, caricature artists and a visit from Santa Claus. Musical groups will preform on three different stages. Merchants will also be hosting a variety of activities and special promotions in their stores as well as on the street. Past events have attracted more than 20,000 people so all this is great for Plano and a great way to start your holiday season.

The free concert series starts again this month at the Shops at Legacy. And this time there are two concert locations. The north stage will be across Legacy Books on Lone Star Drive. The south stage will still be on Bishop Street across from Taco Diner. During April the concerts will be on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11 PM. In May, Thursday nights will be added to the north stage from 7-10 PM. Now if you haven't been you definitely need to go now through October. Musical variety from Caribbean, Latin to Salsa and Lounge. This is a great community event that can't be missed and it's free...can't beat that!
