We all know Legacy West & now we have a Legacy East


Legacy East is coming soon!

So the question you’re probably asking yourself is ….. ‘what and where is Legacy East’?

What I’m calling Legacy East is at 100 Legacy Dr Plano 75023 @ Central Expressway and 8.9 miles due west is 7900 Legacy Dr Plano 75024 @ Legacy Dr and SH 121 aka SRTH.

At this time the development at 100 Legacy Dr is being called LEGACY 100 based on the entrance signage.

Legacy 100 is Phase II of the Legacy Central Shopping Center and  is a vibrant neighborhood center sitting on a highly visible corner of Legacy Drive and Central Expressway (US 75). Consumers will find an eclectic mix of  Asian oriented restaurants,  grocery outlets and other retail services.

Phase I of the Legacy Central Shopping Center @ 240 Legacy Dr is anchored by Jusgo Supermarket and rounding out those merchants are  Umeki Sushi & Grill, JS Chen Dim Sum, Bobaland, Asian Food Court, Hamni Bank, First American National Bank, and Iravant Indian Cuisine.

At this time Legacy 100 is 85% leased with the first business to open soon being Kula Revolving Sushi Bar who has their signage on their suites building front.

NOTE: When you open the above link for Legacy 100 which will have pictures of the center itself please note in the center of the center is a water fountain which acts as a focal point of the center and will house the main tenant of Legacy 100 which is planned to be an international based Asian grocer.

And the developer of Legacy 100  just realized a little bonus,so to speak,  insomuch as the new owner of the original Texas Instrument campus is spending $120M to update the facility and bring in new companies looking to be a part of the PLANO SYNDICATE of IT oriented firms based in east Plano.

TAKEAWAY:  As a long time resident of Plano since 1993 I have seen PLANO grow to become what it is now.  With the technology oriented firms based in the area the population breakout is very diverse.  And it’s easy to understand why the developer behind Legacy 100 has developed a center of this ilk for the Plano, Richardson, Frisco, Carrollton, Lewisville, The Colony, Allen and North Dallas area.

And let’s not overlook that the relocation to North Texas of  Toyota has indirectly probably had a bearing in the consideration of bringing this type of development to the market.
